Aunjanue E. Taylor Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American stage actress and producer, is well-known for her role in the film Ray Undercover Brother as well as on The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies from Brown University and an MFA in acting from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer who is active in films theater as well as television. She began acting on stage and then appeared in mainstream, independent, and TV series. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico. In the following year, she made an appearance on BET's epic TV series The Book of Negroes. She made her professional acting debut as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. Her stage credits are Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production by Joe Turner. In the film industry she is most famous for roles such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. In television, her role in the ABC's crime drama High Incident is well known.
