Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports when she was fourteen years old. Along with BJJ She also took classes in wrestling, boxing and kickboxing. When she was 18, she made her amateur debut at WCFC. Ladd later went on to beat three times consecutively at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of the opponents she defeated had been defeated in the first minute. Ladd returned to WCFC in order to defeat Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous verdict. Aspen first defeated Silvia Babyghian prior to going to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 and fought Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen with a majority vote. This put a stain on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd took her fight in a fight with Roma Pawelek to improve to a record of 8-1. Aspen became a professional in 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011 and won via one-round TKO. The next time she fought, she won against Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission and went up to the weight of bantamweight in her next bout at Invicta FC 16. Aspen used her wrestling expertise to take out McGill by TKO in the third-round (elbows & punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 at weight of catchweight (138.1lb), as Ladd did not have enough weight. However, Aspen was able to take on Hoy. She finished her by KO in the 2nd round. Invicta FC 28 was her final fight for the company. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks defeated by unanimous verdict. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to debut. She took on Linalansberg in UFC Fight Night 118. She defeated Lina by grounding and pounding her, winning the TKO in second round. Her next fight, against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229, her victory was even more impressive. Ladd was victorious in the first round and was awarded the Performance of the Night Bonus. The first big fight she fought in was in her next fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos in which she faced. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. The two fights were a close fight that Ladd won by unanimous decision. Both fighters were awarded an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie finished Ladd within 16 seconds of the fight and ended her winning streak. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya after the third round of UFC on ESPN 7. In a recent replacement match in the UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. It was a loss by majority decision.
