
Stevland Haraway Morris (ne Judkins) was born on the 13th of May 1950. He is also known as Stevie Wonder and is considered a pioneering musician and an influencer on musicians of many genres including rhythm and blues to jazz to soul, gospel to jazz. A virtual one-man band Wonder's use of synthesizers as well as other electronic musical instruments during the 1970s reshaped the conventions of R&B. Wonder also played a role in the rise of genres like R&B during the album era. The albums of his were consistent and coherent and also socially conscious statements that contained complex compositions. Wonder, who was born blind shortly after his birth, was signed by Motown's Tamla label when he was just 11. He was then given the professional title Little Stevie Wonder. Wonder's popularity on the charts was at its height during the 1970s. The band's "classic" period began in 1972 with Music of My Mind and Talking Book. The latter featured "Superstition" The most iconic and well-known example of the Hohner Clavinet keyboard sound. He was awarded the Grammy Award as Album of the year for Innervisions (1973), Fulfillingnessthe First Finale (1974) as well as Songs in the Key of Life ( 1976). This makes him the holder of the tie record of the most Album of the year wins with three. The only artist to have won the award in three consecutive albums. Wonder started his "commercial period" in the late 1980s. Wonder had his greatest hit songs and highest level of fame.
